Do you mean 3208 ?? don't recall a 3408 maybe 3406?? If it's in a Pete, it's a 3408, not a 3208. Click here for a photo of the injection pump, the next two pics show wider shots of the same engine. The 3408 was used in trucks in the late '70s & early '80s. I knew several guys that had them and they were strong runners. Probably still used in stationary & industrial applications.

A 3406 is an inline 6 where as the 3408 is a V8. Ken Smith did an artical on detailing the 3408, some where online they are posted but I can't remember where. I did my 3408 in the Kenworth W900 wrecker in 1/25 scale using that article and it looks really good. There are pictures of it near the begining of the posts in the show room.
